This was more of a restructure than an edit. I tried to speak directly to my (male) ideal reader. I was able to bring down words per sentence, but overall word count went up not down. I don’t think that will be an issue on the next go round. I have an abnormal amount of adverbs…especially for ME. But most of them are stylistic keepers. A few sentences need to be broken up for clarity which will also help with the word/sentence #.
What I’m most happy about is that it lost some of the residual preachy tone of the first one. It still cajoles a bit…but with humor?…soften by excessive adverbs?…Buying that? Not sure. We’ll see how the next go round goes.
