Your gut feeling is right. When you read your paragraph aloud, you’ll find it becomes a little too much. Too many short sentences become hard to read, too. And you’re trying to give a lot of guidance – do this and do that and don’t do this.
Try to keep it closer to your core message. Consider removing these sentences:
Give yourself a little break when you need it. Learn to say no. Don’t try to please everyone.
Ask for help. Don’t go through it alone. Understand that there is no such thing as perfect parenting.
When you keep your message focused, you have a better chance your reader will remember. But cutting sentences can feel hard. What do you think?
