Here’s my next mini-story 🙂
Imagine you’re a football player.
And you’re selected to play for your country at the World Cup. Wow. What an honor.
Your country has a match with Germany. This is not just any team. They’ve got the best players in the world.
You know it’s impossible to beat Germany. But even scoring a goal would make you a national hero.
You and your team don’t want to take any chances. So you all put in the extra hours to train yourselves. Nothing is more important anymore, other than being at your best before the game.
The big day arrives, and the match begins.
For the first 30 mins the score is 0-0. Both the teams are desperate to score a call. The ball is frantically passed around between the players.
It finally comes to you.
You dodge the players from Germany. And with sheer luck you take the ball towards the goal post.
Just before you can kick the ball, you realize… there’s no goal post.
Huh? What’s this supposed to mean? What’s the point of playing football without a goal post?
You think of how all the effort you put in was for nothing.
But this is just football.
Imagine going through life without having a goal.
