A couple of small comments:
This is not just any team. They’ve got the best players in the world.
=> feels a little obvious. Perhaps:
Your country has a match with Germany. A match against the best goalkeeper in the world. And against players like Schweinsteiger, Lahm, and Khedira – they have some of the best players in the world.
Both the teams are desperate to score a call.
=> I think you mean goal.
And with sheer luck you take the ball towards the goal post.
=> This confused me a little as it sounds like the reader is imagining hitting the goal post. Perhaps it’s better to replace “goal post” by “goal”. This would make the metaphor a little more straightforward, too.
