Learning how to blog is like learning how to cook. You can write a blog out of your head, but if you learn some recipes, people will like to consume what you cooked out.
Writing headlines is like having sex. The first tries are always a bit awkward, but then you become more adventurous.
=> I love these 🙂
You can make your metaphors one tiny step more specific by sketching a scene, for instance:
He was as sad as a child who will miss her friends she had grown up with because of moving to another city.
=> He was as sad as a small child saying goodbye to her best friend because she’s moving to another city.
He was as stressed as a chef who had a new clumsy assistant on the day when the food critics comes.
=> In this case you share quite a lot of information in one go, so I’d cut it in separate sentences: Imagine a chef expecting a famous food critic to arrive anytime. Now, imagine he finds out his new assistant doesn’t even know how to slice onions. That’s how stressed he was feeling.
I hope you’re well? How was the wedding?
The courses have officially finished, but I’m still logging in from time to time in August. Feel free to post further assignments. I’m just not always able to provide feedback within 24 hours. 🙂
