I wonder whether your purpose would excite someone like Dan. I liked this sentence in your reader profile:
It would make him sick if his audience perceived him as a salesman instead of what he is – an artist and a maker. He geeks out on marketing. He values and understands it, but it isn’t his strength and he just doesn’t have the time.
Perhaps you want to consider including some of this sentiment in your blog purpose – e.g. How to help small business owners (like Dan) write content that wins clients without sounding like sleazy sales man.
