Are you familiar with Toastmasters, Mike? Quite frequently lesser experienced speakers are called upon to evaluate more experienced ones. This may seem counterintuitive at first, but it really accelerates the learning process. Plus because an evaluator is most often less advanced, it takes the hierarchy out of the situation. Please try it with my examples. I’m not trying to pretend that I know any more than you do. I’m just trying to grow and learn…and I just hope my process also helps you too.
In fact, my “sure-fire” suggestion was deemed too sales-y in another thread.
And quite frankly, I’m not sure if this is something that will work in this setting. But I figured I’d throw it out as an experiment.
