The book The Tall Lady With The Iceberg by Anne Miller is an excellent introduction to using metaphors to explain and sell your ideas. It includes exercises and practical examples.
Strictly speaking there’s a difference between metaphors, similes, and analogies. The comparison isn’t important when you’re writing, so I’m referring to all three as metaphors in this course. If you’d like to understand the difference, I’ve explained it in this blog post: http://www.enchantingmarketing.com/how-to-use-metaphors/
