Not quite. My ultimate goal is to retire with a oeuvre that gives me a solid income and a fan base that still wants one or two books a year from me. That’s where I want to be in 15 years.
Right now I need cash flow to meet my current needs. Fiction won’t do that until I’ve established a “long-tail.”
I would like to have a freelance career and or a employment situation that would directly benefit my writing goals. I also love to do analytic and strategic work. Therefore, I am drawn to content marketing because it combines all of the above.
I also love to travel. But that isn’t my only interest. I understand it is best to be known for an established niche. But until I’m established, my niche is in flux.
BTW, I was offered yet another job possibility today. This one is more on the tech side of digital marketing than my current skill set would warrant. But I got quite positive feedback from my query. [Think of the MOZ audience]
