I just had to rewrite a résumé today to reflect that connection. Both job opportunities that I applied for this week were for people looking for the storytelling, engagement, and interviewing abilities. Both people I submitted to would have shared many characteristics with both Gary and Nancy. This is new revelation for me.
I always conceptualized my audience as less well-off, less politically opinionated, less athletic, and less outdoorsy…oh, and less sophisticated. I am rethinking this…BIG time.
