The journey is still ongoing, I’m afraid, Mary…but that’s one of the reasons I knew I should take this course. I needed to get a firmer grasp on exactly where I was going. I knew I was stalled out.
When I edit, I normally start with a part I like and make it better and then hope that good juju energy spreads to the rest of the piece.
Here’s that blurb from the top of that revised résumé again:
As human beings, we are wired for story. Through stories we connect with each other, expand our possibilities, make sense of our world, and even heal old wounds. In our socially web-connected world, savvy businesses are beginning to appreciate the power of story to forge strong bonds, creating more productive in-house teams as well as more engaged clients. No one can sell your story better than your own valued employees and customers. Nothing satisfies me more than helping entrepreneurs and businesses discover their unique stories and devise a delivery that entices and enchants their staff and clients into becoming brand evangelists.
I’d like to have 2-3 clients on retainer as a copywriter/content strategist. Write one blog post for my personal blog and 1-3 posts per month for guest blogs. Then spend the rest of my time on my fiction…and devote more active time to yoga.
How can I start making $1K/mo as quickly as possible? [Remember I’m typing from bed still]
Could I work with Authority Mastermind folks to help them with their client’s content? The problem is that most folks expect to pay money for SEO and strategy but not on copy. But my copy is different even if my experience as a copywriter is thin. I tell a story and elicit engagement. Even my bad posts get more comments than most of their copy. So I can write posts that get engagement. Create a community. Get shares.
