Even though I’ve been a web writer for more than 10 years with a steady stream of work, I’ve never done a copywriting course, and I’ve always had doubts about my work. Sometimes I’m not even sure I can really call myself a writer. There are so many other copywriters who have some type of writing degree. Will I get called out as a fake?
I’ve been eyeing off Henneke’s copywriting course for years.
Reading her blog, I’ve felt like she understood my self-doubts and where I struggle in my writing. I also love her non-judgmental, gentle, friendly, fun approach.
But time, a crappy Aussie dollar, and CC debt have held me back for three years. I am a busy mum; I run a business and a household.
In 2017, all the stars aligned, and I signed up even though I was afraid to find out what I might be doing wrong. I was afraid I wouldn’t find the time to get through all the ‘homework’. And I was afraid the course might not be worth the significant investment (especially after the USD to AUD conversion).
But … I liked that I’d be able to use every assignment in my business, and I liked the idea of getting 1-1 feedback from a writer I respect, admire and like—a reputable writer who’s so honest, vulnerable, and approachable yet with so much credibility (with posts on many high-profile websites).
And?
I’ve been blown away by Henneke’s detailed ‘suggestions’ (always so useful and given with kindness and choice) and her generous, honest answers to my endless questions about her business and her journey. I also hadn’t expected to be inspired to put in more time than the minimum, but I read all the bonus resources and grabbed every bit of feedback I could.
At the end of the course, I have all the content I need to update my site—and I feel confident that it’ll hit the sweet spot with my readers. I have processes, techniques, and tips to refer to. I know how to write faster (and get past writing blocks), to sell without sounding salesy, and to write less with more impact.
Above all, I have more confidence in my writing ability. I finally feel my writing is good enough.
This course has been worth every dollar.
You rock, Henneke!

I knew it was important to create a website for more visibility, but I kept putting it off. Like many freelancers, much of my work comes from referrals, and I tend to let the work take over.
I had followed Henneke’s blog for more than a year. I loved her practical tips and her cheerful drawings, but I was going nowhere creating a new website.
Finally I decided to pay for the course with the hope that I would do something. It worked!
The Enchanting Copywriting Course made me sit down and write. It forced me to answer the important questions: who are my ideal clients, what do I have to offer and what do I want to do more of?
The weekly assignments are doable and the material in this course is excellent, but what makes it worth every penny is the feedback. Henneke gives personal, timely, helpful advice to everyone–novices and professionals alike.
I am writing better and feel excited about future work prospects because of her!

Imagine starting the year as a scaredy-cat and transforming into a copywriter.
Well, I did.
I’ve taken plenty of online courses. None have transformed me the way Henneke’s courses did. You know she’s a talented writer and artist from reading her blog. But I’m also in awe of her teaching prowess.
Learning to write can be overwhelming. Don’t let that stop you from trying. Henneke designed a brilliant course. Each topic includes mini lessons so it’s easy to get started. The next builds on the last as your skill set grows. She’s structured each week with fun exercises sprinkled in with more challenging assignments. And I love that she includes breaks. It gave me a chance to catch my breath and get back on track.
The magic of the course is Henneke’s feedback. She’s honest, empathetic and her suggestions were spot on. I’d write a blah first draft. With an expert eye, she cut the flab, finessed my sentences, and polished my words. Then she explained why and how her suggestions improved my draft. That was invaluable and the way I learned to make my copy sparkle.
I won’t kid you, this course is challenging if you participate fully. But the harder I worked, the more I improved, and writing became easier. I’m super proud of everything I wrote during the Enchanting Copywriting course, especially my About page.
Henneke, you taught me how to get out of my head and write from my heart. My confidence to write in my own voice blossomed. Thanks to you, writing isn’t scary anymore, it’s a joy.

I was hesitant to sign up to the Enchanting Copywriting Course.
I couldn’t help thinking that the information I’d get, for a handsome amount of money, is free on the Internet anyways.
But because I am a long time Enchanting Marketing reader and I look forward to Henneke’s Tuesday’s blog posts as if they were a letter from a friend, I felt there was something there that might be worth the risk. So I decided to sign up.
I was travelling at the time the course opened for registrations. But since I knew there were only a few spots available, I signed up first thing in the morning, through my smartphone, using the hotel’s slow Internet connection.
When the course started I noticed to my amazement that four students had done the Enchanting Business Blogging Course and one said she had already done a previous Enchanting Copywriting Course. So I thought, if people are coming back, it must be good.
Well, after eight weeks of course material and writing assignments, I can honestly say that this might be the best course on copywriting available. What makes it so great? Feedback. You can read all the books available and follow all the rockstar copywriter-bloggers, but it is not until you write something, make your own mistakes and have them corrected by Henneke (she calls them “suggestions, not corrections” 🙂 ) that you truly learn how to copywrite.
Henneke is a thorough, patient and kind teacher, but a tough one, too. She doesn’t say it’s alright when it’s not, but she doesn’t leave you out to dry either. She gives you more material, examples, insights and lets you do it all over again. She is generous enough to answer off the syllabus questions and to share her own experience as copywriter. Above all, her editing is magic. She strikes out the flab, adds the needed substance and rearranges your sentences, leaving you wondering “why didn’t I see it too?”.
I am a serial self doubter, but after finishing this course, I am a Copywriter. Do I need practice? Hell yeah! But I know exactly how to practice to further polish my copywriting skills.

Writing web copy was a nightmare for me. Stomach churning, I kicked and cried my way through. But as a Life Coach and Creative Consultant, I knew writing web copy is essential.
My dream was to hire an expert to write copy for me but how could I trust someone to capture my unique voice?
When I read “How To Write Seductive Web Copy,” I was certain Henneke was the answer to my prayers. I would hire her and never write web copy again. I felt amazing. Until, she informed me she doesn’t do freelance copywriting. She suggested her Enchanting Copywriting Course instead. I was crushed, but what else could I do?
I’m not going to lie, the first few weeks included some residual tears and temper tantrums. Then her magic took hold and my confidence grew. Not only did I create my dream site, I gained skills that will support me and my team well beyond the Consciously Awesome site.
Her program is amazing. She breaks down the daunting process into simple steps. Her personalized support and genuine investment in my success was apparent. She believed in me and suddenly so did I.
Now, when I think about updating my next website, my stomach no longer churns. I got this, thanks to Henneke!

Do you want to swiftly sharpen your copywriting chops?
If you follow the advice of expert performance doyen Anders Ericsson, first you’ll find yourself a good teacher. Ericsson’s research has shown deliberate practice to be the best way to rapidly improve a skill. But it requires intensive feedback from a teacher on carefully designed practice exercises. And that’s exactly what this course gives you.
You get a meticulously planned curriculum that breaks copywriting down into a series of mini-skills. You do focused writing exercises that force you out of your comfort zone. Most important, you get Henneke’s invaluable, critical feedback on how to strengthen your writing.
She has a freakish ability to rip your writing to pieces, show you how you can put it back together better and still somehow leave you feeling warm towards her. And good about yourself. I don’t know how she does it.
I won’t lie – this course was bloody hard work. But through it I launched my freelance copywriting website. I learnt a much faster and less painful way to write copy. And gained a ton of confidence in my newly burnished copywriting skills.
Henneke is an outstanding writing coach. If you’re looking to become a stronger copywriter, faster, you should definitely consider working with her.

This was my first-ever online course and it set the bar pretty high.
To start with the course structure, giving us the option of video or transcript for each lesson was a great idea. As a former teacher, I know how hard it is to accommodate a large group’s different learning styles, and Henneke nailed it.
I wasn’t sure how I would like communicating with my “classmates” in forums. But, even though there was less direct interaction among the group members than I expected, other people’s work contained a lot of good examples that inspired me when I got stuck.
The exercises themselves certainly got my creative juices flowing, and Henneke guided us into even the tough ones in a non-intimidating way. I found some assignments quite challenging, but the threshold for diving in was never too high.
Henneke’s immediate feedback was helpful as everything was still fresh in my mind. Even better was how thoughtful and detailed her comments were; the effort she puts into understanding each participant’s business made the program feel much more like customized coaching than a group course.
Since taking the course, I have noticed a marked improvement in skills that are vital to my job as translator. When I am asked to translate sales copy or web sites, it takes me now about three seconds to see how to highlight the benefits, cut the flab and improve the structure.
When editing texts delivered by freelancers, I find the problems leap off the page. I feel much more sure-footed about determining what the issues are and how to turn them around, so I produce crisper copy faster. Last week, I used the skills I learned in the course to overhaul a complex sales brochure, which helped my company win the first stage in a bid for a huge and lucrative project.
Thank you so much, Henneke, for the extremely useful content and for your generosity in guiding me through it.

I’ve lacked confidence with writing for quite some time. Especially writing sales stuff scared the hell out of me, and I told myself some people are just not born to write.
When I first read Henneke’s Kindle books I started to think that maybe I could improve. I purchased her guide on “About Us” pages, too, but missed out on the copywriting course that year.
So this time, I set the alarm in my diary: “Buy Henneke’s course.”
Already in the first course week, I felt I might be able to do this. We wrote social media updates using the problem/solution formula. Amazingly, one of my tweets received six retweets. Normally, I’m lucky to receive one.
That problem/solution formula has been useful for evaluating any marketing material. I understand when a company is too focused on themselves rather than what they do for their customers. The other useful concept was specificity to help readers imagine what a company can really do for you.
We’re a one-service content marketing agency, and during the course I wrote a sales page we liked so much, we decided to put the text on our home page. My sales team loves it because it does most of the selling for them. Our email signups and relevant leads have both increased.
Since taking Henneke’s course, I no longer fear writing sales copy. We have 3 sales pages in the works right now and I am looking forward to writing and editing.

I signed up for the Enchanting Copywriting Course wishing to renew our hopelessly outdated website text. For someone who’s by no stretch of the imagination a copywriter, this was a daunting task.
But my apprehension was unnecessary, and Henneke’s course kick-started the launch of our new website.
Not only have I learned to write captivating content, I’ve also learned how to craft words that sell. Best of all, I can apply Henneke’s writing formulas to anything from composing a compelling sales email to tackling bigger writing projects with enthusiasm.
The course is well structured, the material is pleasant to follow, and the content is spot-on, but it is Henneke’s professional advice, editing skills, and generous personal input that make this course so valuable and enchanting.
Henneke’s feedback is inspiring, encouraging, and constructive. She has given me more confidence in my writing – even sparking off a wave of creativity. It’s still early days and continued practice is needed, but I feel so much more motivated to write. So thank you, Henneke! I’m truly grateful.

I hadn’t planned on taking another course. Earlier in the year, I had taken a content marketing course. I came away with a great deal of content, without any sleds to pull grand ideas into practical implementation.
But, as fate would have it, I stumbled upon one of Henneke’s blog posts. The human voice behind her posts nudged me to join her course. What good fortune – for me.
The course helped me draft content for my new website. Quite honestly, I was challenged to maintain the weekly pace. I wrote a lot more than I thought I would. But Henneke’s editing alone was worth the investment.
I tried to think of a metaphor to describe Henneke and her course. Sherpa struck me as the right word:
- First, the homework provided a backpack of essential writing tools to climb the jagged mountains of copywriting
- Second, Henneke guided us around the crevices of waffle and flab, eliminating redundancy
- Third, her cogent feedback steered us clear of dangerous ice sheets of features without benefits, or benefits without features
Of the numerous tools, I loved the cheat sheets – offering a clear vista from three to four weeks of pithy content.
Thank you so much, Henneke, for your incredible personal investment in making this course so valuable. They say that when you love what you do it no longer feels like work. You obviously have a great deal of love for the work and more importantly, the people. Bless you.

I need to be honest.
This course kicked my butt.
I’ve taken many online courses before but never one so comprehensive.
If you are serious about improving your writing, then this course is for you. But don’t worry, Henneke in her wise and gentle nature makes the material simple, easy, and doable.
This is not some course with a few tidbits buried in a sea of fluff and filler. This is a class to sink your teeth into. Henneke generously shares many tips, tricks, and tactics for making you a better writer. You’ll be returning to her material as you hone your craft. Again. And again.
This is my second time taking a class from Henneke and I am impressed not only by the depth of her knowledge but also by her nurturing and caring nature. She takes the time to get to know the needs and goals of each student. The class as a whole shares so much in the forum, we are all rooting for one another’s success. Henneke creates that atmosphere with her own support for our process.
- Is there a lot to learn from this class?
- Is the class doable?
- Is the class worth the time and money invested?
YES!
Are you up to the challenge?
Only you can answer that, but Henneke will help you every step of the way, if you are…

I’ve written a lot of informational articles, but when I tried writing a sales page, it’d come off thin and sugary. It felt junky.
Yes, I’d read about copywriting techniques and stared at plenty of model pages. But that kind of writing wasn’t coming together for me.
As soon as Henneke opened her copywriting course, I … I hesitated. I did want to learn and practice writing sales pages. But her course included more, and I wasn’t clear I needed all topics.
I went ahead because I badly needed to craft core copy. The assignments and Henneke’s personal attention would help get that done. And I’d at least get a solid content review, across the board.
That plan worked better than I thought it would.
Every week, I got content either freshly written or majorly improved with Henneke’s legendary feedback (legendary for her insightful critique that offers you a friendly hand up—rather than beating you down for your awkward performance, as some writing teachers enjoy).
And those topics I wasn’t so sure about?
I should have trusted Henneke. Before the course, my home page only listed blog posts. Now, it’s useful. Plus, I have a clear sense of what an effective home page should do. I see what I was missing.
The course sparked an overhaul of my site and sales process. Beyond that, it helped me pin down a relaxed approach for writing all kinds of copy. Henneke’s examples and annotations helped transform abstract copywriting ideas into concrete steps.
I’m now more comfortable with planning and writing a sales page, and I’m able to get past “writing features & benefits” to create an enticing sales narrative. One that informs, as well as influences. One that feels good.

My husband suggested the Enchanting Copywriting Course to me. I signed up without knowing anything about Henneke, and I didn’t really know what to expect from the course. I had never spent much time analyzing what goes into successful marketing.
Most of the participants in the course seemed to have grown-up businesses with websites. All I had was a business idea I had been tossing around for a couple of years. Initially, I felt inferior to other participants. The course material needed some time to percolate, and I could not help thinking my writing sounded juvenile.
However, Henneke’s expertise and energetic personality won me over. Her approach to copywriting is relatable and extremely appealing. Having a friendly conversation with a potential reader makes me feel more at ease and less like a door to door vacuum salesman with my foot stuck in the door.
The way Henneke focused on the various business goals of all participants and gave insightful feedback amazed me. Her way of evaluating our writing is never undermining and always helpful and genuine.
I am forever grateful to Henneke for helping me break something so big as writing down into smaller parts to make it a more manageable task. She has turned me into a faithful fan, and I’ve already signed up for the Enchanting Business Blogging course!

Before the course, my writing skills weren’t bad. But often weren’t compelling. Henneke helped me see why. And what to do about it.
The value of this course exceeded all expectation. Each lesson targeted a single skill. One I could apply right away. And the feedback she provides? Outstanding!
A friend recently asked for help on writing a proposal. He responded, “Brilliant. Exactly what needs to be said and how. Thank you for writing that up for me.” And, I’m happy to report, he got the contract!

I’ve written and rewritten my website several times, but was never satisfied.
I’ve spent money on courses from other well-known bloggers and copywriters. I always learned something, but never found the real solution. What makes Henneke’s courses stand out as exceptional value is her individual feedback on every assignment. She has even taken the time to understand who my target customer is. Her thoughtful suggestions not only improve my content but help me understand why they work. Fortunately, I can revisit her lessons and comments whenever I’m wrestling with a new page.
Henneke’s Enchanting Copywriting course helped me find the words I needed on my website and in my follow up emails. The thoroughly prepared lessons explain exactly what you need to move customers to the next step. I feel confident I now have the right messages in place to grow my business. A rewritten email just helped me win my biggest ever project!
If you are serious about learning to write copy, Henneke’s courses are my top recommendation by far.

I have always had a huge mental block about writing and got low grades in English at school.
Writing blogs and newsletters was also a huge chore.
But Henneke’s copywriting course and the other material she so generously shares online have changed both my attitude and approach to writing. And it’s definitely become more enjoyable.
The course is broken down into easily digestible chunks with a clear structure in each lesson. Having the script as well as the video was helpful – I always read a transcript rather than watch a video.
I’ve done a few different marketing programmes/coaching in the past. What was brilliant and unique about this one was that I had to produce ‘homework’ every week. I had to put in time and effort there and then, rather than filing it away as a ‘good idea, must do that sometime’. It was a challenge to keep up, but the big driver to do the homework was to get concrete and expert feedback from Henneke.
Thank you, Henneke, for such a stimulating, informative, fun programme and for your huge generosity in your feedback and support. I found the course excellent.

I wanted to understand the principles of content writing for websites …
I knew that writing for the web has its own requirements but material I read left me confused and unsure how to begin.
I had been following Henneke’s blog for a few months so I was confident about her writing and teaching abilities. I was hoping to gain a much better understanding of what should be included in website content and why.
Did the course deliver?
Henneke exceeded my expectations. I liked the course structure. Each Friday I downloaded the material, listened to the videos and read the transcripts until I was clear about the goals for the week. The assignments were structured to build the skills necessary for a particular web page. Theory became immediate practice with assignments drafting pages for my website.
Of immediate value were the Home and About pages because they are so hard to write by yourself; and the first enewsletter I wrote using the course material was our most successful ever. Our open rate increased marginally, but our click rate jumped from 5.82% to 41.23%—concrete evidence that the course works. Sales were also good with people coming in, calling and emailing.
Ours is a small family business in antique oriental furniture, and an unexpected benefit of the course is that I’ve become a better communicator in the shop. I think more carefully about advising a customer of the benefits of an item rather than its technical features. I think more about what is important to them as opposed to showing how much I know about a piece.
The biggest surprise of the course was how insightful Henneke’s edits and comments were. She not only edited but also explained the suggested changes, so her advice allowed me to go further with the next draft. Henneke has that rare ability to build skills and confidence.
The course has given me the confidence to write with purpose. I feel inspired to write more!

I signed up for Enchanting Copywriting hoping to improve my business website …
But I left with vastly more.
I learned how to write specifically for my niche. I learned writing formulas I can apply to anything from a simple email subject title to a full blown ebook. I learned how to use content to engage web visitors and get them on my email list, so I get an opportunity to sell our Point of Sales services (which is not a quick buying decision).
I’ve published the new copy on my website; and it has already increased both calls and leads coming through the web form. I can’t wait to start writing my email series, which I’m sure will further help grow my business.
Not only was the course both fun and challenging but Henneke’s direct feedback for improving my writing was invaluable. She has a calm and logical method of teaching that truly connected and inspired me. I can’t speak highly enough of this course.

I almost did not register for the copywriting class because of the cost involved …
But there was something in how Henneke presented herself and her course (enchanted marketing?!!!) that called to me and now, at the end of the 8 weeks, I have found it worth every penny. I learned so much: How to write an enchanting email title. How to express both features and benefits. How to write for my audience rather than myself. And much, much more.
Henneke is amazingly attentive and she gives valuable and detailed feedback. I can’t think of one thing to suggest to improve the course.
